Dukester's Meltdown
4ft Pimp say their influences include Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, but this band are far more fun loving than either of those bands, swapping powerful dirges with hot rock numbers with occasional keyboards and non stop pace, leaving you wanting to witness this live in the hope you'll have a grin you'll never remove from your face. It's rock n' roll, Jim, just as we like it.
"To and Fro" is a rocker starting with an off kilter stutter riff before the whole band join in for a catchy tune. "Worst Crime Known" had a weird wah effect riff, minimal but bopping all the same. "Shotgun Paradise" is another rockin' roller letting the guitars doing the talking with muted verses under a vocal scared about to be shot. "Heaven's Scent" is more fun riding the happy storm. "Hungry?" has a loose bass riff intro before the band join in building to a rolling riff. "The Fear Of The Unknown" is probably the best song here, including a melancholic piano but a guitar crunch still turned up for a slow moving emotive piece ripped straight from a sad 70s moment.
