Rock Pulse

The first song 'Great Aunt Anaconda' kicks in straight away with its straight up rock 'n roll sound. The singer has a consistently strong voice which is easy to listen to and the lyrics are catchy and memorable.

The next song 'No Ball Games' is my favourite as like the first, it is full of big riffs, solos and funky heaving rock sounds which demonstrate 4ft Pimp's ability to play their own style of hard rock effortlessly- and do it well.

'Shotgun Paradise', the final offering from 4ft Pimp is full of bizarre lyrics which show the band's aversion to the sane and their humour- especially when the singer talks in a cartoon villian-esque voice. The songs are all of a perfect length- long enough to enjoy and short enough to not drag on towards the end. The only negative point about this record is that on first listen all the songs sound similar, but the musical ability of the band is apparent in all of them and they sound like they'd be great to see live.

This CD is released on 30th March and is definitely worth a listen for all rock fans! Rating: 7/10
